While I personally feel these cartoons of Muhammad may be offensive to those in the Islamic world, I can understand their feelings of being offended. However the fact that they are causing so much destruction and harm to innocent people who have nothing to do with the release of these cartoons shows that they don't understand true freedom and think they can force their will onto others and that the entire world should believe as they do.
News Alert! - The rest of the world does not have to adhere to Islamic law and freedom of speech will continue whether you like it or not.
I don't see anybody protesting or rioting about the hundreds of cartoons in the past about any of the Buddhist, Jewish, and/or Christian gods depicted in unflattering ways. It's called understanding and tolerance of freedom of speech.
I just hope the rest of the free world does not give in and pander to these few who have trouble understanding and tolerating others. We have fought a long time to get the freedoms we have and should not give them up now.
