Religion of Peace

I have been for years skeptical to say the least about Islam, the so called "religion of peace". It's hard to see the peace when everyday in every newspaper and in every media outlet you see the complete opposite.

I don't see the peace...

when the Danish government is being forced to removed envoys from it's embassies in Indonesia, Syria and Iran because of serious security threats by Muslims in the regions and their governments reluctance to protect them. This brought on because of some childish cartoons that are being exploited by some Islamic governments around the world to enrage the masses against the west. If this were a peaceful religion this wouldn't be so easy to do.

Some claim that the violence is being perpetrated by extremist, however this is not the case at all. It's obvious that these are everyday, ordinary Muslims in the streets violently protesting against everything that represents the west or western interest.

when in Pakistan, after several people have been killed in violent protest across the country, political parties are still urging a day of protest on March 3 which they hope will be replicated internationally. Let's not let the violence settle down. It's important to all Muslims around the world to keep the violence going.

when the Palestinian people who voted out the only government they had in decades that was actually attempting a peaceful method of dealing with their issues, as opposed to the normal death and destruction method of the past which has gotten them nowhere fast. So in the name of peace they vote in the biggest terrorist organization in the world to run their government and to make sure they don't continue this terrible method of peaceful negotiations. Of course, let's get back to suicide bombs and rocket attacks that are sure to kill and maim. That will show them!

I don't see the peace...

or maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. All I see are Muslims marching in the streets carrying slogans and banners, that read: "Behead Those Who Insult Islam," "Europe, you will pay, extermination is on the way" and "Butcher those who mock Islam." They have also warned Europe of their own impending 9/11 with signs that say: "Europe: Your 9/11 will come".

I don't see the peace...

nor did I see any protest by these so called peaceful people when terrorist were cutting off the heads of innocent Americans on Video and showing them around the world. Where were the protest when the Arab media was showing these videos around the world, over and over again for weeks and months.

It appears to me that the old peaceful religion of Islam is quickly turning into an extreme cult destine to take over the world, while it's more moderates stand by and condone their actions, while saying they do not support terrorism.
